To import go into settings, midi, instruments and choose to import. In order to use these definitions you need to import them and assign to the midi channels. Despite the ascendancy of software synthesizers, most of us still use some MIDI-controlled hardware synths or signal processors. Korg instrument definitions are available on the for various softwares including Cubase, Sonar etc. Assign all 'Port/Channel' settings to the new definition. The 'Assign Instruments' window will still be open. This will open the 'Import Instrument Definitions' window. Kurzweil K2000, Yamaha CS1X, Minimoog, Oasys76, GEM Promega 3, Korg PA3X, Kurzweil PC3K8 Double-click on the desired Cakewalk Instrument Definition file. I'm not using a Trinity, but on the Triton the SysEx values to switch to Program mode are 'F0 42 30 50 4E 02 F7' and the values to switch to Combi mode are 'F0 42. It doesn't seem to downlaod any SONAR ini files. RE: Korg M3 Instrument Definitions 1 16:09:12 ( ) To Barrypicker: to make the Trinity switch from Program to Combi mode, you'll need to transmit a SysEx MIDI value. I tried the PA3X for SONAR download, when I open it it justs asks if it can change my internet settings - nothing else happens. (I wish I had saved the definitions for all of my ex-synths. On the Integra-7, for example, you can load any 4 of the SRX cards at any time, I think I have 7, 8, 9, 10 loaded so that's what my INS file reflects. Make sense? Also a lot of these might not work depending on user patches loaded, etc. Like a patch that's called "Jimmy B3" I have renamed to be "Jimmy B3 Organ" to make it searchable. I don't remember every keyword I use but for example typing Piano, Keys, Organ, Guitar, Bass, Strings, Brass, Synth, Arp, Lead, Pad, etc, will bring up every patch regardless of the actual patch name. My system is to write "guitar" after every single guitar patch, for example, (no abbreviations) so that I can search for "guitar" and every patch will come up. A lot of these I typed in manually but all of them are modified to my specs. since I am usually always the one searching for instrument definitions that don't exist, and this forum has helped me so much recently, I thought I would post my file in case anyone is searching for synths that I happen to have INS files for. Anyone know where I can get hold of a Sonar instrument definition file for the. I'm hoping this will show up on google searches. Yamaha Sy22 Vector Synth (Wavestation Korg - D50 Roland) demostration.
